Demir Demirkan is a Turkish rock musician and songwriter.
Life
Demir Demirkan was born on 12 August 1972 in Adana. He spent his
childhood at Adana, and later moved to Ankara to pursue his higher
studies at Bilkent University.
He joined the very successful heavy metal band Pentagram in 1992 as a
guitarist. During the period between 1997 and 1999, Demirkan worked
with a number of music artists including Sertab Erener, Şebnem Ferah
and Ricky Martin. He co-wrote the smash hit Everyway That I Can, with
which Erener won the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest, and also wrote a
number of tracks on her debut English language album, No Boundaries.
His first solo album was released in 2000. The second Dünya Benim was
available in 2002. Since then, Demirkan. has released two other albums:
2004 İstanbul (2004) and Gelibolu (2005)
